I bring to my professional writing more than 15 years of writing, content design, editing, and project management experience for software companies, consulting firms, nonprofits, and government. Currently, I serve as a senior content designer for Quick Base, a cloud-based SaaS software platform.
Before joining Quick Base, I revamped work instructions for Harvard University’s Center for Workplace Development’s PeopleSoft upgrade and provided key internal communications to ensure a smooth launch of their new online training portal.
I also served as Director of Government and Community Engagement for the Sustainable Endowments Institute (SEI). My work included developing web content and outreach materials to assist SEI in partnering with state and local governments.
During more than three years serving as a Sustainability Project Manager for the County of Alameda, I wrote 50+ pages of content for and managed the development of a website to highlight the County’s leadership in sustainability. I also wrote grants, brochures, and fact sheets.
In my six years as Communications Officer for the San Francisco Estuary Partnership, I wrote web content, fact sheets, and outreach materials to support clean water action plans. I also wrote key portions of and co-led a grant proposal effort that resulted in a $2.68 million state grant.
My work experience also includes more than two years serving as Technical Communications Specialist for the consulting firm Eastern Research Group and three years as Public Information Specialist for the Water Environment Federation.
My B.A. in English from Oberlin College included a special focus on Creative Writing with coursework in nonfiction writing.
